Here are some of the stand-out products at Cersaie 2018 from my perspective. I can’t wait to show you these.
VANITY by Cotto D’Este
This is a beautiful new look in the famous Kerlite 6plus, which unlike other manufacturers, is still reinforced with fibreglass on the rear side. It’s available in three colours (including a beautiful brown) and two finishes and in 1200x 1200mm and 1200 x 2600. I particularly love the Bookmatch effect – two panels with mirror image looks that look magnificent as a feature. Look for this tile on our video.
CRYSTAL COLLECTION II from Bisazza
This company is world famous for their stupendous design work in mosaics and glass tiles. Their exhibition stand was a must-see this year. They previewed their new Crystal Collection II, which uses a feature Swarovski Crystal in Red – you have to see it to believe it! Check it out in more detail in our video.
DEBRIS from Unicom Starker
This product takes the polished concrete look to the next level of sophistication. Five beautiful colours and a range of sizes up to 1200 x1200, as you’ll see in the photo here. The Debris looks absolutely stunning on either walls or floors. We can order these now on indent for you.
PIETRA D’ISEA from Cotto D’Este
This product is inspired by the typical Lombard stone, Ceppo di Grè, used to build the palaces, villas and monuments of the city of Milan. The surface of this stone, with its conglomerate-style irregular design adds real character to any environment. These are available in a Kerlite 6plus or these 20mm pavers I’m looking at with Sonia, our long-term contact at Cotto D’Este.
EVOSTONE by Unicom Starker
I met with Nicola, the Export Manager for Unicom Starker, and we both loved this tile, which is also available in a non-slip version. This manufacturer rarely gets it wrong and I’m predicting the Evostone will be a popular product. The size and colour range is great, and the hexagonal feature tiles could be used in lots of interesting ways.
CONTEXT from Panaria
This is another wonderful concrete-look product, which our long-time friend Simone, our Panaria agent (who knows all the best local restaurants in Rome!). It has a real richness and softness that brings design warmth to even the largest areas. A 6mm thick product, it’s available in 1200×1200 & 1200x2600mm panels that look amazing on floors and walls. Also available now on indent at Tile Solutions.
EVEN from Panaria
If you’re looking for something different, check out the Even collection. The rich Cherry colour was one of the real eye-catchers for many at Cersaie and the dimensionality of these tiles brings depth as either a feature or a whole wall. They would be fantastic in bathrooms or kitchens. Check out the great use of the Cherry colour in this image …
PIETRA DI GRE from Unicom Starker
Another standout product that really caught my eye. This is another tile inspired by Ceppo di Gre – it’s a riverstone tile with large conglomerates in it. The natural stone colour is Greco but it’s also available in other colours. Pietra di Gre is available in a normal thickness tile in several different sizes, plus mosaics and planks. This range is really worth your consideration and suits a modern colour palette in both commercial and domestic uses.
